Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Sing stars Buster Moon (Academy Award® winner Matthew McConaughey), a dapper Koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal optimist—okay, maybe a bit of a scoundrel—who loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now facing the crumbling of his life’s ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition.

Five lead contestants emerge: A mouse (Seth MacFarlane) who croons as smoothly as he cons, a timid teenage elephant (Tori Kelly) with an enormous case of stage fright, an overtaxed mother (Academy Award® winner Reese Witherspoon) run ragged tending a litter of 25 piglets, a young gangster gorilla (Taron Egerton) looking to break free of his family’s felonies, and a punk-rock porcupine (Scarlett Johansson) struggling to shed her arrogant boyfriend and go solo. Each animal arrives under Buster’s marquee believing that this is their shot to change the course of their life.

  1. one of the most unoriginal movies I've ever seen, it's horrible, it's just my personal opinion but as an animator, I find this to just be made for the money, no passion or love put into this at all. If you're a parent, do your child a favor and show them a GOOD movie, like Zootopia or an old animated disney classic.

  2. the only good things about this film were that one shot of the theatre from the stage after the lights were switched on (im betting 70% of the budget went into that moment lmao) and the lady gaga pig. everything else made me want to rip my eyes out

  3. This movie was literally just a terrible cartoon version of the X factor with animals. There is zero character development, most of this movie's budget was spent animating the pop songs, all the character moulds are the same, and there is no originality whatsoever. None of the character's personalities match their appearance. The male pig is just there for comic relief and the elephant is a direct rip off of Violet from the Incredibles. And the characters are animals for no reason. They could literally be anything and the story would still make sense. They're only animals so that this video has a clickbait thumbnail. The background is so plain and every other animal is just reused because the animators were so lazy. Also none of the characters display animal characteristics. The closet is when the porcupine shakes her quills everywhere and porcupines dont even do that in real life. If you look at a movie like Zootopia, the animators spent so long studying animals, staying true to the animal scale, and perfecting every single detail. They were so creative with the city and all the different animal functions. The entire point of that movie was centered around the fact that the characters are animals, and presented modern issues of racism in a way even kids could simply understand. This movie has no morals, except maybe: "dont give up", or "believe in yourself", but those messages have been done so many times before in better and more creative ways. This entire movie was just trash and like minions, just trying to make money. The creators dont even care about the product as long as loads of people watch it. And dont use "its just a kids movie" as an excuse.

  4. So you can't say "god" because it'll "offend" someone but you can have twerking rabbits in a movie for 4 year olds. I want to kill myself before I can see how this generation turns out.

  5. I think this movie is ok but instead of using famous actors they should use singers to do the voice overs. Because I feel the songs are good but not that amazing. Imagine having Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Celine dion, instead of Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon etc doing the singing. The movie would be a lot more convincing

  6. Me: Why are they animals?

    Sing: Oh ummm… uhhh… because they're… cute?

    Me: Why are they animals?

Zootopia: Oh because the movie is set in an animal metropolis where what the characters do and how they act actually make sense, like how Nick Wilde, a fox, is very cunning and clever, and the sloths who work at the DMV make fun of how slow the system is.
